I ordered four as a test before really stocking up on these. They're outstanding and very attractive - plus you can wash them in the dishwasher. Perfect size and weight, they "feel" expensive, but they don't seem as fragile as riedel glasses. My only complaint is they come with a sticker on them that leaves an imprint of "Made in Germany" near the rim of the glass that takes a few washes to get rid of.

I wanted a set of glasses with a large bowl that would be appropriate for both red and white wine. These were perfect. I am pretty much a philistine and occasionally put ice in my white wine (don't judge me!). These glasses have a full bowl for swirling reds to bring out the bouquet; as well as the size to add an ice cube or two to a pedestrian white! And the price was moderate. Salut!

Purchase was to replace earlier model Speigelau Red Wine glasses that had broken over the 15 years which we had used them. New glasses are 1/4 inch taller but very similar in size and appearance to the older ones. We loved the earlier model but the revision is a definite improvement with a more refined look and feel. They provide a great tasting vessel for Shiraz, Blends and Primitivo. The tone it makes is a magic sound. They come out spotless from the dishwasher. Price during the 4 for 3 special was an unbelievable value. We bought four sets of four.
